Vestibular Physical Therapy Evaluation

Based on the results of your tests, a vestibular physical therapy evaluation may be recommended. During this evaluation, the therapist will gather any additional subjective information pertaining to your diagnosis and test general range of motion, strength, reflexes, and sensation. The therapist will also assess oculomotor function, positional testing (including a Dix-Hallpike test for positional vertigo), static and dynamic balance, and gait. The impairments and functional limitations found during these tests will help determine the need for ongoing vestibular therapy, including the projected frequency and duration of treatment.
